Step 7 - Celebrate your Successes
Christmas has been and go, so if you haven’t done the last six steps, now is your time to take action, do them and to get ready for the year ahead. If you have completed your last six steps, the seventh one is to congratulate yourself and know you are one step ahead of closer to an even more successful 2012. If you haven’t completed the steps, make it your mission to schedule some time this week to do it. Remember a good idea is only an idea until it’s actioned upon. Once you start, it really doesn’t take that long.

7 Simple Steps to make lasting change - Step 5
As you step forward in the action plan you have created, or hopefully are in the process of creating, it is critical that you review what you are doing and where you are going. So, first of all, write yourself a mission statement for you and your life. Something simple, like “I strive to be the best person I can be every day and to show up as an enthusiastic, positive and inspirational person.” Make it relevant to you.

Step 4. Daily Disciplines
Considering what you have written so far, what action steps you have committed to do under each area and considering why you want your goals, it’s time now to imagine for a moment how you would have to show up each day to achieve all these things? Who would you have to be, to do what needs to be done, to be able to have the things you want to have? You may need to read that one again. Who would you have to be, to do what needs to be done, to be able to have the things you want to have?

Step 3 - What will these goals get for you?
If you have committed to the short tasks I gave you last week, you are ready for the next step. That is to ask yourself what will achieving these goals get for you?
So, take the first area you have on you sheet. Look at what you have written down, considering this along with any bigger goals you have in this area of your life, ask yourself what will this get for you? How will you be feeling when you have achieved these goals?

7 Steps to Absolute Success in 2012
Step 2 - Setting Targets or KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators)
Now you have done your stock take or audit, it’s time to set some targets or Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s.) Get out the piece of paper that you wrote your six or seven areas of your life and re-read what you wrote. Considering each area, what worked and what didn’t, now give yourself a score out of one to ten for your overall performance in each area. One being poor and ten being excellent. As you review your score, spend a moment considering why you may not have got the results you wanted and how you would like this area to be. Paint a picture in your mind of the ideal you in each area and fully consider what you would have to do to improve the score in each area.

Do you Believe in You?
Human Beings are Meaning Making Machines (Triple MMM’s!) Every second our nervous system is bombarded by 2 million bits of information via our five senses. To be able to make sense of this and to prevent total overwhelm, we delete, distort and generalise the information. We sift this information through our own unique set of filters which include our beliefs. Our beliefs were formed to help us make sense of the world in light of the things that happen to us. We have both empowering beliefs and disempowering beliefs. The second ones, often called limiting beliefs, are just that. They limit us in some way by limiting our perspective on reality.
