Take a Moment ...

...to read this.  Before the year slips away, the “silly season” is upon us and another year slips by, take a few moments now to take stock, look in the rear view mirror, reflect, re-energise and set yourself up to end the year in great shape!

Take a Moment to....
...look back at the year so far, note what has gone well and what hasn’t gone so well. Did you learn anything that allowed you to view things differently, change, grow or evolve? Can you let go of the things you may be holding onto or the thoughts that may still be churning around in your head? Choose to let them go right now and put your focus forwards.

... appreciate the amazing things you have done so far this year, and in your life. Too often we only look at what we haven’t achieved, or we compare ourselves to other people’s successes, rather than congratulate ourselves for what we have achieved.

... pay gratitude for your physical body and your mind, that is uniquely yours!

... get REAL.  Stand in front of the mirror. Take a look at what you see. Tell yourself you love yourself as you are right now. If you don’t truly love yourself how can you expect anyone else too? If you have put on a few kilos, be honest. Love you as you are and make a commitment to do something positive about it, right now. Not tomorrow, right now.

... thank silently all the people who have come into your life and helped you, whether you realise it or not, to become the amazing person you are. Better still, pick up the phone and call someone you haven’t connected with for a long time. Do it now! Don’t wait until it’s time to send them one of those yearly Christmas cards, just because that is what “everyone” does.

... make a commitment to be even better today than you were yesterday. Say this every day so you will always be striving to be the best person you can be.

... take note of what isn’t working in your life and make a commitment to change it. If you can’t change it, either accept it or start to change the way you view it. (Your Mindset)

... put on your favourite piece of music and dance as if no one was watching!

... stand in nature and soak up the raw beauty of it for a few minutes. Really enjoy being a human being!

... walk along the beach and jump in the ocean. Imagine you are washing away the stresses of the day.

.. learn one new thing every day, or at the very least, learn one new thing every week.  Whether it’s listening to a webinar topic, watching a You Tube video or reading an article from a magazine you wouldn’t normally read, or a book you wouldn’t normally read. Do it!

...go give someone you love and appreciate a big hug!

... celebrate being alive and feel the gratitude of living in this beautiful country where we still have choices, freedom, sunshine and open spaces!

... in the words of the Dalai Lama: “In Tibet we say that many illnesses can be cured exclusively by the remedy of love and compassion. These qualities are the ultimate source of happiness, and we need them in our innermost being.

.. commit to feeling love and compassion for fellow human beings, and know that there are some things we can change and others that we may not be able too. When you feel these emotions, they will be reflected back to you.

.. Pick one right now, do it and check in with how you feel....
